Maria Louise Parson, 41, of Chillicothe, OH, was born in Middletown, OH on Monday, July 23, 1973, and was the youngest of six children born to Christine Marie Hunter.
Maria or “ReRe” as she was so fondly called, spent her childhood in Middletown and Franklin, OH. Although she was soft-spoken and mild-mannered while growing up, she was also fearless and a free-spirited individual as well. She especially liked going to amusement parks, and was a staple on the roller coasters and thrill-seeking rides.
Maria graduated from Franklin High School in 1991 and attended Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH where her creative writing skills began to blossom. She had a passion for creative writing, especially poetry, which she happily shared with family members and friends.
Maria was a constant companion of her mother, Christine. In 2000, the two of them moved to Chillicothe, OH where they currently worship at Zion Baptist Church (Pastor Dr. J. Troy Gray) and previously First Baptist Church (Pastor Eric C. Carson). Maria was very kind and generous, especially around birthdays and holidays, when she especially enjoyed preparing special holiday dishes and showering everyone with cards and gifts.
Maria departed this earth on December 23, 2014, to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her father, James Williams and her sister, Eileen Sims.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Christine Marie Woodfin of Chilli- cothe, OH; brothers, David Vinson, Jr. of Rich- mond, VA, Dwight Hunter Vinson (Sarina) of Chillicothe, OH and Frank Earl Parson, Jr. of Cincinnati, OH; sisters, Marcia Renee Vinson of Bordentown, NJ, Natalie Dametra Edwards (Ronald) of Chillicothe, OH and Irene Thomp- son of Dayton, OH; nephews and nieces, David Alexander Vinson, Leah Taylor Vinson, Aaron Christopher Edwards, Marcus Alan Edwards, Anthony Blythe Edwards, LaShaya Lewis, Jasmine Moriah Vinson, Dwight Hunter Vinson, Jr., and Brandon Earl Parson; special cousins, Kim Brown-Henderson and Peter “Bo” Brown; two dear friends, Courtenay Savage of Chilli- cothe, OH and Princess Brown-McReynolds of Columbus, OH; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
