Lymernel Power

Lymernel Power was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarance and Cora Power in South Carolina. He was the last living of the twelve children born to this union. Lymernel is preceded in death by his parents, eleven siblings, wife Kathryn and daughter Beverly.

Mr. Power moved to Cincinnati in 1943 and met his loving wife Kathyrn and from this marriage three wonderful children were born, Sherry, Kenneth and Beverly.

Mr. Power was a hard worker in his community, he played a key role in getting some of the necessary utilities that were needed in the neighborhood. He also helped people that needed help, and he was a very kind person to everyone.

Mr. Power worked for Cletex for 43 years and retired as a member of the Hazlewood Community Association. He did all his work in and around his home. He also enjoyed donating to different children’s research.

Mr. Power was a faithful church member who served on the Usher Board for 50 years, he continued to be faithful as long as he could and was very thankful for all the blessings that he received from our Heavenly Father and Savior. He also walked a mile, three days a week for many years after he retired.

Mr. Power leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter Sherry Power of Los Angeles, CA., Kenneth Power of Cincinnati, Ohio, four grandchildren Kisha, Claybourne, Kente’ and Cora, seven great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends, two close friends George Giles and Josephine Mahone. He will be missed, we love him, but God loves him more.
