Lora Rene (Davis) Green, born September 16, 1960, in New York City, passed away on May 29, 2024, in Cincinnati, Ohio, after a hard-fought battle with leukemia. She was 63 years old.
Lora, affectionately known as Lori, was a proud graduate of Mukwonago High School, Class of 1978, and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, in 1985. Lora’s beauty and grace were evident from an early age, as she competed in and won several beauty pageants. She held titles of Miss Black Teen, Miss Milwaukee, and Miss Black Wisconsin.
Lora had a distinguished career as a Mary Kay Independent Sales Director, where she forged many cherished relationships. Her leadership extended beyond sales figures; she mentored and guided her team, fostering their growth and success in the beauty industry and beyond.
A skilled clarinet player, Lora found solace and joy in playing and enjoying music. She loved traveling, going on cruises, swimming, snorkeling, and helping others. Lora was a faithful and devoted member of Refreshing Springs Church of God in West Chester, Ohio for 25 years. Lora’s commitment extended beyond the sanctuary; she lent her support to different church ministries, including greeting, ushering, and praise team duties.
Her vibrant spirit, unwavering faith, and love for her family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Lora is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Richard Green; her devoted sons, Brandon Green and Richard Green II; her sister, Sheri Davis; her brother, Peter Kinsey; her mother, Beverly Jackson; and her nieces, Autumn and Samantha Jackson. She was preceded in death by her father, Wilbur Davis, and her brother, Ed Jackson.
Homegoing services to celebrate Lora’s life will be held on June 8, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Crossroads Church in Mason, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society in memory of Lora Rene Green.
