Lindsey Morris was born on September 27, 1925 to the late Sherman and Mabel (Lee) Morris, in Starr, South Carolina. He was the third of eleven children. He was 86 years old when he departed this life on December 25, 2011 at Hospice in Blue Ash.
In 1948, he married Mildred Gaines. To this union was born five children.
Lindsey was a hard worker and was always prompt and ready. He was a good Auto Mechanic and plumber. His hobbies were gardening, fishing and playing the guitar. His favorite song was “I?ve Got A New Home Over In Zion.”
Lindsey received baptism of the Holy Ghost in 1973 under the pastorate of Bishop Solomon Lundy of the Revealed Holiness House of God #2.
Lindsey later married Billie Jean Hurt. In his ministry, he was privileged to lead his wife, Billie and her mother to the Lord, who also was Holy Ghost baptized.
Lindsey and Billie became the proud parents of two adopted boys. Lindsey was later called by God to the preaching ministry, and he was faithful in his calling. He later joined The House of Prayer under the pastorship of Pastor Deborah A. Brown-Lampkin where he remained dedicated and faithful until death.
Lindsey leaves to cherish his memory: six children, Gwenette, Gloria, Sandra and Lindsey Jr., all of Rochester, NY and two sons, Tommy (April Morris, daughter-in-law) and Martez of Cincinnati, OH; two stepsons, Larry and Richard (Brenda, daughter-in-law) of Cincinnati, OH; three sisters, Ina Lundy (Solomon) of Cincinnati, OH, Bertha McLaughlin and Willie Mae Cox of Brooklyn, NY; brother, Randolph Morris of Anderson, SC; 16 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grand-children; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
