With hearts filled with love and thankfulness, we celebrate the life and legacy of Ms. Linda Littlejohn, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, and friend whose warmth and light brightened the lives of those around her.
Born on October 28, 1951, in Eutaw, Alabama, to Walter Moore Sr. and Althenia Moore, Linda was a daughter of faith and perseverance. She grew up surrounded by family and love—values that shaped her lifelong commitment to service and kindness.
Linda received her early education at Cummings Elementary School in Cincinnati, Ohio, and graduated from Walnut Hills High School, where she began to blossom into the remarkable woman she would become. She went on to attend Knoxville College, where she proudly became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, dedicating herself to sisterhood, scholarship, and service.
In 1979, Linda married the love of her life, Bruce W. Littlejohn, and together they built a home grounded in love, laughter, and faith.
Linda came to know the Lord at a young age and carried that faith throughout her life. She was a faithful servant, teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, and joyfully working with the youth of her church. Her love for God shone through in her compassion, patience, and willingness to serve others.
Professionally, Linda lived a life of purpose and hard work. She touched lives as a Social Worker, offering care and support to those in need, and later as an employee of the United States Postal Service, where her genuine spirit & kindness were admired by coworkers.
Above all, Linda’s greatest joy came from her family. She was a loving mother, a devoted grandmother, and a cherished sister, aunt, cousin, and niece. Her nurturing spirit and gentle strength were a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her.
Linda leaves to cherish her memory her devoted daughters, Tiffany Littlejohn and Tracy (Tony) Gaines, and her precious grandson, Grayson Jackson, the light of her life. She is also lovingly remembered by her dear brother, Walter Moore Jr., along with a host of extended family members, sorority sisters, church family, and treasured friends who will forever hold her love, laughter, and legacy close to their hearts.
Though her voice has joined the heavenly choir, her song will forever echo in the hearts of those who loved her.
“Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord.” – Matthew 25:23
