Karen Anderson Doggett, 66, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on August 21, 2025. She was born on December 29, 1958, in Cincinnati to Julia McCaleb Stewart and Stephen Craig Anderson Sr.
Karen dedicated her life to serving others. For 36 years, she worked as a program director for residential services at Lighthouse Youth Services, where she cared for thousands of children and mentored hundreds of staff members. Her leadership was defined by a love that was sometimes tough but always genuine—and deeply felt by all who knew her.
She grew up in the Kennedy Heights and Silverton neighborhoods and proudly attended Withrow High School. She later settled in Madisonville, where she became known for her stunning, sprawling garden—an extension of her nurturing spirit and attention to beauty.
Karen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Larry Doggett (2022), and her brothers Stephen Anderson and Martin Stewart. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Lauren Anderson Doggett; her loving sisters Evette “Nikki” Stewart, Staci (Cliff) Cochran, and Stephanie (Maurice) Green; her cherished in-laws Robert Rogers and Diedra Logan; and her nephews Julian Stewart and Rayshod Kirkpatrick Sr. She also leaves behind her cherished golden doodle, Lily, and a host of cousins, family members, friends, and former colleagues who will miss her dearly.
When she wasn’t tending to her garden, Karen found joy in dinner outings with her favorite cousins, spinning records from Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, and Stevie Wonder, and preparing meals that proved—without question—that she was the best cook on the planet.
Karen’s legacy is one of strength, care, honesty, and fierce love. Her impact will live on in the lives she touched and the hearts she shaped.
