Josephine Hill

Josephine Hill was born on January 30, 1929 in Carroll County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Lewis George (LG) and Lura Parker. Both parents preceded her in death.
At an early age, she accepted the Lord. She began her education in McKinezie, Tennessee. She was a graduate of Webb High School.
Sometime after graduation, she left Tennes- see for Toledo, Ohio where she worked for some years before coming to Cincinnati, Ohio. Upon her arrival in Cincinnati, she attended classes at Poro Beauty College. She completed her course work and obtained her Cosmetology License to be a beautician, but also her Managers License. She worked some years at Ollies Beauty Bar and Joli Coiffure Beauty Salon.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to David Hill on January 25, 1965. The union was blessed with one child, Dwyne.
Josephine semi-retired from work as a beau- tician to become a homemaker.
She loved to cook. She helped prepare and serve food to the staff and children of St. Mark School. She made some great dinners and cinna- mon rolls.
She volunteered at St. Mark’s bingo and later Purcell-Marian bingo. She liked bingo as a way
to socialize with friends and make a few new friends.
She loved taking the neighborhood children for walks to the park or swimming. She believed in treating all the children to snacks, not just hers.
When her mother became ill, she would travel between Cincinnati and McKinezie to take care of her.
When we think of Josephine, please remember her smile, kindness, fairness, sense of humor, discipline, and her everlasting belief in Jesus.
One brother, Charles Parker preceded her in death.
In addition to her son and nephew, Thomas Parker, she is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, many friends and well wishers.
