Joseph Anthony Coleman was born August 26, 1939 in Cincinnati, Ohio and was the 15th child of 18 children that were born to the late Clarence and Marie Coleman. Joseph learned responsibility at a young age. Due to no fault of his own, he had to quit school and take on the responsibility of helping his mother care for his siblings. In 1957 he met the love his life Thelma Johnson. And in 1959 he started his own family with the birth of a beautiful baby girl. And after some time by working hard and learning the responsibility of caring for his family, Joseph and Thelma got married in 1979. The following year in 1980 Joseph had the privilege of seeing his first grandchild enter into this world. And while being a loving husband and father Joseph was blessed with another grandchild in 1987. Now, Joseph’s family is his main priority and everybody knew that. He wanted to be the best husband, father and grandfather he could possibly be. And Jehovah God saw that in Joseph. So in 1988 Joseph and Thelma started studying the Bible with Jehovah Witnesses. And in 1989 they dedicated their lives to Jehovah God, and were baptized in London, OH. He had developed a serious interest in spiritual things and lived that way by example. He taught his family well with a good spiritual routine. So that as a result, all of his household dedicated their lives also to Jehovah God and were baptized. Joseph always loved this scripture: Revelation 21:4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. the former things have passed away.” And we will always remember his famous saying, “Man I’m just holding on to the wind!” Joseph was loved very much and will surely be missed. He is survived by his: (wife) Thelma Coleman, his (daughter) Diane Johnson, his granddaughters Alia (Johnson) Sanchez & Iresha Johnson, his (grandson-in-law) Alfred Sanchez III, his (sisters) Ellen Brown, Anna Swain, & Roberta Easterling, his (nephew) Dallis Jones and his (sisters-in-law) Dorothy Jones & Queen Gardner, and a host of other relatives and friends.
