Jason Lamar Bennett, born on May 26, 1985, in Cincinnati, Ohio was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend whose presence brought light and warmth to everyone around him, passed away on June 29, 2025, at the age of 40.
Jason is survived by his devoted parents, Shedrick L. Bennett Sr. and Ozella Sims Bennett; his brothers, Shedrick L. Bennett Jr. (Tracey) and Anthony G. Bennett; his children, Djuan Bennett and JaKala Bennett; his niece, Jessica L. Bennett, and nephew, Shedrick L. Bennett Ill; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly. His deep love for his family and the friendships he built over the years will always be remembered and cherished.
A 2003 graduate of Moeller High School, Jason had a passion for real estate and aspired to build a successful career. He was an avid sports enthusiast who especially loved baseball, and he found great joy in bowling and playing video games – interests he often shared with his children, family, and friends. Affectionately known as “Chilly Willy” and “Jay Boogie” to family and friends, his memory continues to live on through the lives he touched.
His sense of fun, easygoing nature, and dedication to the people he loved made him someone others naturally gravitated toward.
Jason will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His memory lives on in the hearts of all who loved him.
