Janet Frazier (Clark) was born on May 23, 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the union of Howard P. Clark and Dorothy Bailey (Paxton).
She departed this life on Friday, January 27, 2012. She was preceded in death by her father and a granddaughter, Divine Hunter.
Janet was an active member at Rockdale Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board. She later joined her childhood church, First Baptist Church of Woodlawn where she also served on the Usher Board.
Janet loved garage sales. Whenever she bought something she really didn?t need, she would always say, “It was a bargain.” She was very kind-hearted and would help anyone in need. Janet was a dedicated mother. She loved to be surrounded by family and looked forward to family events where she was always the center of attraction.
Janet worked for many years at Longview State Hos-pital as a Dietary Supervisor. She later worked for The Society of the Transfiguration, a convent in Glendale, Ohio from where she retired.
God blessed her with five children; one daughter with John Farley and two daughters and two sons with Walter Burton, Sr. She also raised her nephew. She was married to George Frazier for 26 years.
Janet leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Dorothy Bailey; her children, Kimberly A. Dabney (William), Denise Burton, Walter Burton, Jr. (Phyllis), Randy Burton (LaGina) and Tonya R. Hunter (Tony); 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; her sister, Gerldine Price; her brother, Larry Griffith; her nephew, Mark A. Tolbert; her special aunt, Jesse; her best friend, Donna Logan; and a host of family and friends.
