James Robert Phillips (Jimmy) was born May 14, 1938, to William Emmerson Phillips and Ella Ree White Phillips in Louisville, KY. He departed this life on September 17, 2025.
James moved to Cincinnati, OH and married Patt Ann Phillips. To this union five children were born, James Phillips Jr., Deidrea Power, Lester Phillips, Alicia Phillips, and Michelle (Randy) Phillips.
James worked for UPS for over 30 years until his retirement.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Patti Ann Phillips; one son, James Phillips; brothers, Michael Phillips and Teddy (Shirley) Phillips; and sister, Denise Gray.
He is survived by his four children; four sisters; Shirley, Ladonna, Rosemary, and Darlene; 7 grandkids, James, Stephanie, Kevin, Christina, Brittany, Sharina, and Michael; 12 great grandkids; 1 great-great granddaughter; and other family and friends that will sadly miss him.
