Rod,rest assured that his legacy will live on through your brothers and you. I'am certain he was very proud of the God fearing may you have become. May the peace of God comfort your family in this time of mourning.

Dad - From the day that I came into the Chatman family you would never let a visit go by when you didn't tell those around you that I'm not your daughter-in-law, but I'm your DAUGHTER. You made me feel very special at those moments. Believe it or not, I actually miss those 7:30 AM Sunday morning visits when you would just pop up at the house to say HI and to pet the family dog. I will never have that honor to open my door up to you again until we meet in heaven. To my B.I.L.- (Brother In Law) - you done good! Love ya... S.I.L. Lastly, but certainly not least... To my wonderful husband Rod - there are truly no words that I can type or say that could remotely describe the sense of pride that I have for you in the way that you took care of your Dad during the last 3 years of his illness. It was an honor to be by your side as Dad walked into the light.

Thank you Mr. Chatman for being a positive part of the village that raised me. A large part of my growth came from the time I spent on the baseball diamond with you and your sons, as well as many hours spent at 1435. Your leagcy continues through your sons and the many others, like me, who you touched.

Geraldine Robinson left a message on April 17, 2012:
For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. May your memories always bring you joy. May God's grace and mercy always be with you; and may His peace sustain and comfort you.
