It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Hakim Muslim, who departed this life on December 25, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on November 6, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Hakim was the beloved son of John and Joan Robinson. He was a proud graduate of Hughes High School, where he distinguished himself not only academically but also as an exceptional football player.
A dedicated journeyman electrician, Hakim devoted over 30 years of his life to his craft, exemplifying a strong work ethic and commitment to quality. He took great pride in his profession and mentored many young individuals throughout his career.
Hakim had a deep love for the arts, particularly film, and found joy in watching action movies that captivated his imagination. His zest for life and contagious enthusiasm will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Hakim is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Phyllis King, and his sister Jean. He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Brandin Jones and Mustafa Salahuddin; daughter, Sadiqah Salahuddin; and Tasha King. He is also survived by his grandsons, Khayir Williams, Jalal Abdus-Saboor, Yaseen Abdus-Saboor; his brother, Ameer Salaam; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
