Gregory Lamont Chambers (Greg) passed away suddenly in the early morning of August 23, 2025, at the age of 71, after a short and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born January 12, 1954, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Maggie Lidell Stallworth-Chambers and Albert Chambers Jr., both of whom preceded him in death.
Greg will be deeply missed and will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, strength, humor, and his untapped musical talents. As a teenager, Greg taught himself how to play the electric guitar; and a had a beautiful falsetto singing voice.
He enjoyed spending time in nature, fishing, watching sports on tv, and doing handiwork.
Greg was a wiz when it came to fixing cars, and he was an avid reader. His greatest joy was spending time with family.
He is survived by his daughter, Brandi Chambers; grandchildren, Ameer Chambers, Alika Gacheru, Liora Gacheru, and grandchild soon-to-be-born; siblings Ron Chambers, Deborah Chambers, Al Chambers, Lois Chambers-Johnson (Fred), Doris Chambers-McCoy, and Yvonne Chambers; numerous nieces and nephews, Alisha Little, Lania Little, Tamiko (Darrel) Wiley, Tamika (Eric) Walker, Teko Johnson, and Katinina McCoy; cousins, Patricia Stills (Patti), Brenda Washington, and a host of great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
