Geroline Mynatt, 92, entered God’s Kingdom on Saturday, November 11, 2023. She was the youngest of four children born to the late Arthur and Eddie Lee Smith in Richmond, Kentucky. She is also preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Mynatt; brothers, Virgil H. Smith, Rev. Leroy A. Smith, and Charles I. Smith.
Geroline graduated from Richmond High School in 1950. She moved to Richmond, Indiana, where she attended clerical trade school. Geroline moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1953. She was employed at the Veterans Administration Hospital as a medical technician for 31 years, until she retired. In 1967, she married the late Robert L. Mynatt.
Geroline professed her faith in Christ at an early age. She was a lifetime member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church- Woodlawn for 57 years. She was a member of the Seasoned Saints Ministry for 39 years. She served with the Beautification Ministry, Women’s Day Choir, Bible Study, and Vacation Bible School.
In 2001, The City of Cincinnati Recreation Commission recognized Geroline for her continuing contributions to the life of our community during her retirement. She was a member of the Red Hatters Society of Cincinnati for 17 years; and served for 23 years as the treasurer/secretary for the Wyoming Senior Citizens. She loved spending time with family and friends, plants, and enjoyed sewing, traveling, bowling, arts and crafts, and watching football, basketball and baseball on television.
Geroline leaves to cherish her memory six step-children, Denise, Marilyn, Eric, Pamela, and Gary Miller, Tyrone (Sylvia) Mynatt; one niece, Donna Lee Davis; three nephews, Arthur L., Gerald E. and Virgil I. Smith; two God-daughters, Lisa and Shantia; the Cooper family; and a host of relatives and friends.
