There are so many fond memories that I have of Faristine. She married Steve November 29,1959, Carl and I got married December 23,1961. Faristine would always"tease" that since Carl's 18th Birthday was our Wedding day, I was his"Birthday Present." When both of our Children started coming along (and that was pretty fast) Faristine was at my house visiting one day. We were sitting at my kitchen table as I"struggled" to get my two youngest sons (Ray an infant and Bryan a toddler) to eat their Gerber baby food from jars with a spoon. Faristine shook her head, sprang up from the chair and made a"Beline" across the street to her house. It only took her a few minutes to come back with a bowl of collared greens with pot liquor, cornbread, sweet potatoes, and rice. Faristine began to mash up the food and to feed the babes with her fingers. Those babies began to eat that food, like there was "no tomorrow!" Faristine said smugly "Jars humph they don't want that mess in hem jars, these guys want some Real Food!"She was Right! They are now ages 50 & 51 and very healthy, strong, and handsome men. THANK YOU FARISTINE. Carl & Connie Satterwhite:wink::smile:

Mom I know the Lord has blessed you with your wings and you are now flying high, no longer in pain dancing with joy but yet still you will continue to watch over us. I know that you will still be there whenever we may get sad or down yours will be the hands that brushes our tears away. When everything is being thrown at us and we feel like we can't go on and want to give up your voice will be the one we hear in our ears and heart saying you got this you can do this and I believe in you and keep pushing forward cause your reward/blessing is right around the corner. Your arms will be the ones that still hug us when we are feeling down.
