FANNIE B. HILL was born on June 17, 1913, in Wilkes County, Washington, Georgia. She was one of five children born to the late Ollie and Vinnie Mae (Clifford) Wilborn. She departed this life on January 29, 2015 fol- lowing a long illness.
She joined Pompeys Chapel Church at an early age and was a devout Christian.
She married Roosevelt “Frog” Ware in Washington, Georgia and from this union, there were four children.
Upon arriving in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1944, she joined New Hope Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Rev J.M. Stephens. She was a faithful choir member and was dedicated to her missionary work. Sister Hill visited the sick, shut-ins and the elderly on a regular basis.
She started working at General Hospital in 1946 and retired after thirty-three years of service.
In September, 1956, she united in Holy Matrimony to the late Willie Hill. They were married for fifty-two years.
Sister Hill was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Edward Ware and his wife, Walter Mae Ware; two sisters, Edna McDaniel and Bernice Brewer; and one brother, Adolphus Wilbon.
She leaves to cherish her memory: three children, Oliver (Delores) Ware of Fayetteville, NC, Roosevelt (Delores) Ware, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY and Bertha (Norman) Dixon of Cincinnati, OH; one brother, Frank Welbon of Cincinnati, OH; nine grandchildren, nine great-grand- children and two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
