Eugene “Ludie” Moore was born to the late Sandy Moore and the late Mattie Martin in Tuskegee, Alabama. He accepted Christ in his early childhood at Fort Hull AME Zion Church. He moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in the early 1950’s where he met and married Annie Lee Brown in 1960. He worked as a certified auto mechanic exclusively at the Jake Sweeney auto dealerships.
Eugene loved hunting, fishing, sports and working in his garden. His love for working on cars made him the neighborhood auto mechanic. He enjoyed building his cars for drag racing and was a member of the National Hot Rod Association. He was a member of the True American Masonic Lodge #2.
Eugene lovingly adopted many friends into his heart; two devoted, John Lawrence and James Dean.
He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory: wife, Annie B. Moore; two daughters, Beverly Alexander and Sandra Williams; one son, Larry E. Moore; three grand-children, Frederick Williams III, Kendra Moore and Monica Williams; three great-grandchildren, Zavier and Ka’Deon Moore and Juliette Williams; three sisters, Carrie Kent, Evelyn Ellington and Wanda Moore Baggett; four brothers, Samuel Mitchell, Gary Mitchell and two whom preceded him in death, Willie Joe Ellington, Sr. and Tyrone Davis; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends who loved him very much. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace.
