Elra L. Dunigan (Bud) was born to the late Nannie Grace Dunigan and Elra Dunigan in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 31, 1930. He departed this life in Drake Hospital on Friday, October 10, 2014. He married Vera Rogers Dunigan. This union was blessed with four children, Kathy Dunigan-Mendez, Timothy Jeffery Dunigan, Nancy Lynn Allen and Anthony Dunigan.
Elra L. Dunigan was a career veteran in the United States Army. When he retired, he started his own con- struction company. He was known for his blueprints and his consulting work with other companies.
Elra was preceded in death by his parents, Nannie and Elra Dunigan; wife, Vera; one son, Anthony Dunigan; one sister, Delores Swagerty; and three brothers, Herbert, Jerel and Roosevelt Dunigan.
Uncle Bud is survived by: three children, Kathy Dunigan-Mendez, Timothy Jeffery Dunigan and Nancy Lynn Allen; four grandchildren, Marshaune Dunigan, Anthony Valentino Dunigan, Maxton Alexander Allen and Miles Allen; five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Juanita Baxter, Lorene Jones, Aretha Dunigan of Cincin- nati and Marie Forley of California; one brother, James Arthur Dunigan of California; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
