Mrs. Eliza Waiters was born on September 20, 1917 to Mary and Sandy Larkins in Tallahassee, Florida. She was married to her husband, John Waiters, up to his passing, for 37 years. She outlived most of her family; sisters, brothers, uncles and cousins. God blessed her to see 97 years of life with a strong mind and body. Eliza never wanted you to help her. She was one amazing woman. She will be greatly missed.
She was a member of Kennedy Heights Baptist Church, a Missionary, worked in the kitchen at the church, visited the sick members and volunteered at the Carriage House on Montgomery Road until she fell ill. She lived a great life until God called her home on July 15, 2015.
Eliza was preceded in death by her husband, her par-ents, sister, brothers, son (James Payne), and grandson (Albert Alexander Young).
She leaves behind: her daughter, Reaver Young; three grandsons, Timothy Young (Teri), Gerry Young, Yolunde Gilliam and one great-grandson, Alonzo Williams; two great-granddaughters, Gabrielle Young and Natasha Young; four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
