Edith was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 9, 1920 to Mary and James Robinson. She was preceded in death by six siblings (Beatrice, William, Douglas, Clarence, Alice Grace and Harry). She attended Columbian School and Hughes High School.
During WWII, she worked as a “Rosie Riveter” for Rice Defense Plant (now General Electric) where she met her departed husband, Willie Jones. They were married in June of 1948. They raised four children, Richard James (Dickey) Nuby (deceased), Ruthie Jones, William Jones and Karen Grace Jones (deceased).
After 23 years of service with Cincinnati Public Schools, she retired to enjoy spending time with her family and gardening. She was also a very competitive bowler while her health allowed. Edith was a devoted member of Kingdom Hall.
She is survived by: two children, Ruthie and William; five grandchildren, Keith, Danita, Crystal, Ken and Billy; eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives.
