Eddie Al Curtis, age 73, passed away on September 14, 2024, due to complications from a long-term illness. He was a beloved father, husband, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Eddie was born on September 1, 1951 in Roundaway, Mississippi, where he spent his formative years. He went on to attend college at Mississippi Valley State University, where he joined the ROTC, which was the beginning of his military journey. He served in the United States Air Force for 25 years as a KC-135 Navigator, as a back-seater in the F-4. He also served actively in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. Throughout his career he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others. He retired in 2000
But more than anything, Eddie was a devoted father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, sharing stories, playing games, and watching their favorite TV shows. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.
In his free time, Eddie enjoyed watching westerns and old black and white movies. He also enjoyed working on old cars, and he was always eager to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Christine, his children, Rosalind T. Brumant (Phil); DeShawna M. Ladeairous (Brian); his grandchildren, Gabrielle Ladeairous and Rhys Ladeairous, and a host of siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
