Mother Delores M. Robertson was born on May 28, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Harold and Lula Mae Walton. She was the eldest of two children.
Delores was educated in the Cincinnati Public School System. She furthered her training and education by attending cooking school and becoming a licensed beautician.
She married James Williams at an early age and in this union there were two children. She later met and married William Robertson and their union was blessed.
Delores served as a Hamilton County, Ohio daycare provider for 20 years. Delores was hospitable and took everyone, who stepped into her life, in as her own. Delores is remembered for her love of crocheting Afghan blankets and knitting hats. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed recounting memorable stories from the past and she did this until the Lord called her home.
Delores was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost in 1989. She was under the leadership of the late Bishop James Smith, Sr. for five years at Bethel #2 Apostolic Pentecostal Church, and later under the leadership of Bishop Anthony Hill, Sr. for 20 years. Here she served in various capacities, including: Ministerial Staff, Young People’s Committee, Sunday Morning Breakfast Committee, Mothers’ Delight Committee, Mothers’ Dynamite Explosion Com- mittee and Taste of Apostolic Committee. She also helped with the Christmas Celebration; served as Assistant Director of the Big Sister, Little Sister Committee and Cooking Club Committee. Mother Lois was a mother to everyone at Bethel #2 Apostolic Pentecostal Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory: a devoted husband, William; her surviving children, Rodney Walton (Tamara) of Georgia, Lionel Williams of Virginia and Claudia Carpenter of Florida; 12 grand- children, Raphael, Chanelle, Alicia, Myeisha, Rodney, Tyler, Davonna, Jayla, Nicholas, Davy’onne, Donovan and Devin; four great-grandchildren, Jada, Chance, Dashawn and Camarion; two sister-in-laws, Elese and Beverly; one niece, Tamencia; one nephew, Robbie; one great niece, Indigo; and one godchild, Madison. One child, James preceded her in death. Delores’ brother, Harold Robert also preceded her in death. In addition, she also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
