Debra Mosley 67, passed away unexpectedly February 28, 2025, at Jewish Hospital. She was born on July 22, 1957, in Cincinnati, Ohio to proud parents, Jesse Lee Sweatt and Barbara Louise Osborne.
Debra graduated from Withrow High School class in 1976. Following graduation she began working at the local bakery in Madisonville. In 1978, she gave birth to twin girls and married their father, William D. Mosley in 1984. As the girls started getting older and easier to manage, she began her working career in subsidized housing until 2023, when she retired. She also received her Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Phoenix 2016.
Debra was a faithful member of Saint Luke African Methodist Episcopal Church where she attended every Sunday and did whatever she could for her church family. She was a loving, kind and respectful woman that would give you the clothes off her back! There was so much love she gave, she never judged anyone, and everyone loved her. Only deeper love she had other than the church was the love for her children and grandchildren, they were her everything! Family and friends loved being at her house and she made sure everyone was happy, that was a true joy for her. Upon her retirement she enjoyed watching soaps, working on puzzles, going out to eat and getting her nails done. The love of her life was God, she put him first and never strayed away from his grace.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William D. Mosley and her parents, Barbara Louise Osborne and Jessie Lee Sweatt. She is survived by her daughters, Belinda Grant (Howard, her favorite son-in-law), and Brenda Mosley, sisters, Denise Green twin (Al), Donna Brodie (Darence), and Deatra Sweatt, grandchildren, Jasmine Desiree Nichols (CJ), Quiaris Amari Gardner, and Jaylen William Grant, great-grandson, Karson Jai Dewalt, aunts, Emma Hubble, Shirley Russell, and Gillie Sweatt, uncles, Roy Sweatt and Robert Wells, sisters-in-law, Carrie MJ Roberts (Joe), and Margie Mosley (Percey), brothers-in-law, Walter Ross (Baiping)Howard Mosley, and Charles Mosley, and host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
