Deborah Chenault

Deborah Ann Chenault, daughter of Albert Chenault, Sr., and Edith Chenault, departed this life on Monday, February 16, 2026.

Born on August 5, 1960-reportedly on an Army base in Dayton, Ohio— Deborah, known to most simply as Debbie, lived a life shaped by music, beauty, and creativity. She spent the better part of her life with her family in Los Angeles, California, where she worked for many years within the Social Security Administration.

Debbie fiercely loved her son, Devin, and her granddaughter, Reagan. She poured her heart into singing whenever she could. Her powerful, soul-filled voice, like her spirit, brought warmth to those around her.

She has been welcomed into rest by her father, Albert Chenault, Sr., her mother, Edith Chenault, her daughter, Jennifer Williams, and her sister, Rosemary Chenault, who went before her.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, Devin Demery; her granddaughter, Reagan Demery; her sister, Kathy Chenault; her brothers, Albert and Anthony Chenault; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Debbie’s presence will be remembered by those who walked beside her through life’s many seasons. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her heart.
