Deacon Daniel Moran Jones Sr. was born to Willie Jones Sr. and Minnie Lee Jones on November 18, 1955. Danny married at a young age to his childhood sweetheart Jean Richardson and from that union he had three sons: Daniel Moran Jones Jr., Shawn D. Jones, and Dominique S. Jones. He has a daughter named Sabrina (Donald) Fox Laney by Gwendolyn B. Franklin.
Danny attended Hamilton School District; and from there he went to work at Durches and later went to work for Square D in Oxford, Ohio and worked there until he retired.
Danny’s faith led him to The Keys of the Kingdom where he was ordained as a Deacon and while he was there, he started a group called the “Disciples”. After he moved from the area, he started attending The Word of Life Ministry where he served faithfully.
Danny loved his family, his children, and grandchildren or anyone that was close to him. He is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Willie Jones Jr., Charles Kenneth Jones, Donna D. Jones, and Phyllis (Herbert) Witherspoon. He leaves to cherish his memory grandchildren: Daniel Jones II, Tayshawn Stevens, Jashaun Jackson, JaQuan Franklin, Jocelyn Fox; great grandkids, Amias Walker; Valkyrie Franklin, Marlin Franklin, JaQuan Franklin Jr., Gavin Laney, Valencia Jones, Tangelo Jones, and Armauney Horton; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends that he loved dearly.
