Clifford Slaughter, Jr. was born to the late Ethel and Clifford Slaughter, Sr. on January 22, 1927. Clifford Slaugh- ter, Jr. exchanged his life for eternity on May 22, 2014 at the ripe age of 87, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Clifford Slaughter, Jr. served in the United States Army from July 11, 1944 to January 29, 1947 to help his parents and younger siblings. While in the service, he was a Military Police (MP) and received the World War II Victory Medal for active duty in the Philippines.
Clifford Slaughter, Jr. attended the Colored Industrial School for 2 years and received a Certificate of Tailoring in 1950. He also attended Turrill Incorporated where he received a Certificate in Welding in 1951.
Clifford Slaughter, Jr. took care of his family. He and the late Ida Mae Swoope were joined in Holy Matrimony in 1948. This blissful union produced 3 children. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Mae Slaughter on September 12, 1979.
Clifford Slaughter, Jr. was blessed to join in holy matri- mony with Tommie Lou Rogers (Osborne) on March 26, 1983 and received 4 more wonderful children. Clifford and Tommie blended their families so closely that no one on the outside would know.
Most importantly, Clifford Slaughter, Jr. accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at an early age and attended Ebenezer 2nd Baptist Church. He faithfully served on the treasury and usher board.
Clifford was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Jean Slaughter and brother, Ray Slaughter. He leaves behind: his beloved wife, Tommie Slaughter; his children, Willie, Clifford III, Marilyn (David), Darlene (James) of Chicago, Aaron and Yolawnda (Jamie); his siblings, Vivian, Alene, Imogene, Patricia and Albert; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, close relatives and friends.
