Christopher Vaughn Drexelius, age 32, passed away surrounded by those that loved him on September 22nd 2025. Christopher was born to the late William and Joyce Drexelius on June 8, 1993 in Cincinnati, Ohio and is survived by his younger brother Cameron Leonard Drexelius.
Chris leaves behind a legacy of laughter and love. Even as a child Chris belonged in every room he entered and brought life to every conversation he joined. To know him was to know love in its purest form. Chris was the most hilarious person you could ever hope to encounter. The way he could bring laughter and light to any situation was unmatched.
The only thing more grand than his sense of humor was his heart. Chris shared his love with so many. His best friends Martus ‘Tylor’ Wesley Webb and Jeramiah Nicholas Matthew Whiting, Tylor’s wife Morgan, their daughters Jane and Kennedy. Chris shared a beautiful relationship with Hannah Mae Thomas-Wade where they created endless memories and tended to their home “zoo”.
Chris had a special relationship with his cousin Matthew Vaughn Drexelius and his sisters Erin, Katie and Jessica and all of their children that admired Chris so dearly. His Aunts and Uncles Mikey, Jane, Bob, Sheryl, Dawn, Alvin, Leonard, Kirsten and the entire Drexelius, Strawther & Knapp family as well as many others who were there with love and support through the end for Christopher and are so appreciated. Chris proved that family is not only blood and we will continue to honor the bonds that he helped us all create.
Early in Chris’ diagnosis, he had said to a friend that as scary as it was, he was grateful that he knew his time was limited instead of going suddenly. Knowing the days were limited gave him a chance to love without abandon and to live every single day with as much joy as possible. He will be missed and always remembered. In the words of his Uncle Mikey, “Chris taught us all how to die”.
