Charlotte R. Hayes was born to Samuel and
Mary Reid on May 15, 1914 in Greensboro,
Alabama. Charlotte departed this life on April
2, 2012.
Charlotte received Christ at an early age and
with a devoted and loving spirit, served God and
Jesus Christ as a life long member of Calvary
Baptist Church. Charlotte was a member of
Calvary?s Golden Agers Club, comprised of
members with 50 and greater years of service.
She also faithfully worked on the Missionary
Society Board, Usher Board and mentored the
Junior Usher Board.
Charlotte retired from the Cincinnati Automobile
Association in 1977 after many years of
service.
Charlotte was a devoted mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be
greatly missed, as her spirit and legacy will live
on forever.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her loving
husband, Mack Thomas Hayes; six sisters and
nine brothers.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory: her
daughter, Mary W. Lawson; granddaughter Evelyn Lawson Boone (Wilbur); grandson,
Reginald Taylor Lawson (Pamela); great-grandchildren,
Nicole Boone, Taylor Lawson,
Christina Lawson and Jonathan Lawson; sister,
Hattie Lee; brothers, Herbert Reaves and
Henry Reaves; foster daughters, Lois Tillman
and Dorothy Brooks; foster son, Reverend
Frank Sylvester, Sr. (Mary); and a host of nieces,
nephews and many special and dear friends.
