“Mrs. Carrie Davis”, “101” of Cincinnati, Ohio, transitioned into heaven of natural cause, August 1, 2015. Carrie was born in rural Birmingham, Alabama, the beloved daughter of Caleb Dinkins and Gertrude Patterson, and the bountiful and adorable sibling to two wonderful brothers. She was pre- ceded in transition by her first husband, John Hardy and her beloved
husband, Sylvester Davis; her loving parents; her two wonderful brothers, D.C. Dinkins and Arthur Dinkins; and her beloved son, James Hardy.
Mrs. Davis leaves behind a legacy of treasured memo- ries and insurmountable love to her loving daughter, Geraldine Harris; her sisters-in-law, Elma Dinkins and Della Dinkins; her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Myrtle Hardy; and four grandchildren, Valerie, Derek, Scott and Keith; as well as one great-granddaughter, Claire. She also leaves other family and special friends.
Mrs. Davis had a brilliantly creative spirit, working in the Home Interiors industry for many years. Her true legacy flourished in her gracious ability to walk in the light of Christ Jesus. She was a congregant of First Baptist Church of Walnut Hills for nearly 70 years. She ensured the lessons and foundation of Christ were instilled in her lineage. She made sure love was abundant in her family and sought to all needs via the sharing of her own God given Grace. “Every time you ask God”, “you Thank God”, one of her many pearls to her family in preparation for their own eternal life. She lived vigorously and tena- ciously with such love, peace and courage. As needed, she would be life’s umbrella to her loved ones, shielding and guiding their life’s individual footsteps through the storm and into the sun. She is, and has always been, “An Angel to Watch Over”. Carrie is now able to smile with the Son of Man, “Glory, Glory, Glory”…
