Deacon Carl Glen Birch Sr. was born September 30, 1938, to Joe and Betty Birch in Manchester Kentucky. Carl met his wife Barbara Birch in 1963 and married in Holy matrimony and they were happily married 49 years before she passed away.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Barbara Birch, son Carl Birch Jr, grandson Johnny Lynn Curry. Carl is also preceded in death by his mother and father as well as many of his brothers and one sister.
As a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle, Carl lived his life as a God-fearing man. Carl was loved by everyone he met. As one of 12 children, Carl was a loving soul and a hard worker. He, alongside his wife Barbara, was always known in the neighborhood as the beloved owner of Best Buy Tires Service at 128 East Liberty Street in Downtown Cincinnati Ohio. As a loving and gentle father taking his role seriously to his family, he was always affectionately known as Daddy and Papaw and no matter what time of the night or day, he made an effort to always be reliable and dependable.
Carl was the head Deacon of the Miracle House of God Church at 5111 Ward Street in Cincinnati Ohio. Serving under the leadership of Elect Lady Jewel Stewart and Assistant Pastor Barbara J. Mitchell. With the stewardship of his church family Deacon Tommy Robinson and Elect Lady Melba Shoffner and many more.
Carl is survived by his 3 daughters, Debra Hamons of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mary Roberts of Manchester, KY, and Vicky Birch of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren Nicole Scott, Crystal Root, Natalie Hamons, Carlos Washington, and Derrick Birch; great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, and nephews. Carl is also survived by his sister Jewel Stewart and brother George Birch along with a big family.
Carl lived as a humble and modest man that served God and loved his family as a constant provider, husband, and father. During his later years, he devoted his time to his family and his church and although he is no longer here physically, he went to Glory praising God and singing his favorite song, “Lord, I know you’ve been so good.”
His legacy of love lives on through his family.
