Calvin Anthony Brown was born Thursday, June 26, 1958, to Jordan Brown, Sr. and Eva Mae Turner-Brown in Columbus, Ohio.
Calvin is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jordan Brown, Jr and Luke Brown, Sr.
Calvin attended Linden McKinley High School, where he played basketball. He was employed at Nutone for many years. Calvin was an entrepreneur for many, many years.
Calvin moved from Columbus to Milford in 1996. He was joined in marriage to his lovely wife and best friend, Carla of 23 years. Throughout Calvin’s life, he was an active member of Calvary Methodist Church in Milford, Ohio under the leadership of Pastor Betty Jo Sommerville. On March 20, 2009 Calvin was ordained as a Deacon under the watchful eye of Pastor Steels at Cherry Grove United Methodist Church. When visiting his hometown of Columbus, Ohio, he was an active member of Union Tabernacle of God under the leadership of Pastor Philip K. Johnson. You could always find Calvin in the choir stand singing unto the Lord. A favorite pastime for Calvin was watching ESPN and fishing -when he was able to go.
Calvin leaves to cherish his memory, a beloved wife, Carla Brown; together they have 5 children: Deshine Garrett, Kizzy Lockett, Tiaira (Rick) Hubble, Nardaya Brown and Jayden Brown. Grandchildren: Jaylon, Deshine, Christian, DJ, Yusuf, Jordan and Myshine; and great grandson, Braylon Gore
Calvin leaves behind his three siblings; Janie Head, Ajamu (Willa) Brown, Loretta (Danny) Albert. His mother-in-law Narda Jean Crawford. Calvin leaves to cherish a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, cousins, friends and many brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Calvin will be greatly missed by his wife, family, and friends.

Calvin and I were friends since the 4th grade. He was Slick and I was Quick. We played together,laughed together,ate together. He was one of my father's favorite people. He was taller than everybody else. A magician on a basketball court, a competitor. We were in the same class in 6th grade. On our 6th grade trip to Waahington D.C.,we were roommates. I loved him because I could...he didnt let many people in. If he loved you,he spared you nothing. He would give you his all. His jokes,the nicknames,the wisdom,the care. That was Calvin at his core. He sought God and found him. He prayed for his family and he never met a stranger. Be encouraged family because if you ever need him,look inside yourself...he gave you that too
