Betty Jean Evans, age 82, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025. She was born on April 6, 1943, in Roswell, Georgia, to Rosie Lee Robinson.
Betty was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love and strength touched everyone around her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosie Lee Robinson; her beloved husband, Calvin Evans, Sr.; her brothers, Alton Roper and Edward Lashawn Roper; and her sister, Mary Jane Deloche.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Rose Marie Evans, Angela Faye Evans, Marian Lynee Evans, and Calvin Evans; her grandchildren: Richard David Small Jr., Michelle Marie Watson, Gordon Spence II, Calvin Evans-Watson, Tarrance Davenport, Christian Smith, Dominique Davenport, and Malik McCoy; and her great-grandchildren: Kymia Latimer, Tarrance Davenport III, Tarrion Davenport, Gabriella Spence, Brandon Davenport, Kyaire McCoy, Krue McCoy, Makenzie Moore, Mason Rainey, Tamia Watson, Maleigha Watson, and Brookelyn Watson.
Betty will be remembered for her unwavering love for family, her resilience, and the joy she brought to all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through the generations she nurtured and inspired.
