Annie Lois Howard, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2024, at the age of 94. Born on February 5, 1930, in Calhoun City, Mississippi, to the late Ester and Estelle Stovall, Annie lived a life full of love, dedication, and kindness.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents and her only sister, Doretha Howard. She is survived by her loving husband of over 77 years, Clarence Howard, with whom she shared a remarkable bond and life journey. Together, they were blessed with three children: Virginia, Julie, and Glen.
Annie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Union Grove Baptist Church. Her faith in God remained steadfast throughout her life, and she was actively involved in church. As a devoted church Mother, she touched the lives of many, always shining her light and serving with grace and love.
In the 1950s, Annie and Clarence moved to Chicago, Illinois, where they built a strong foundation. In 2023, they relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio, where they continued to make cherished memories.
Annie was known for her love of visiting the casino and watching her favorite soap operas, simple joys that brought her comfort and happiness. She dedicated 31 years of her life to The Wilson Jones Paper Company. After retirement, she was deeply passionate about working with children at the daycare.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Virginia Rose Harris, Julie Jean Howard, and Glen (Willie Mae) Howard; grandchildren, Stacy, Ronney Zachery (Iris), Jermaine, Makario (Suzette), Mononda, Brandon & Sonia, nieces and nephews, Vicki (Rueben), Beverly (Gary), Pamela (Michael), Valerie, and Bernard. And a host of great grandchildren, and other family members and friends.
