Alvin Jones was born August 2, 1932 to the late Sam W. and Ella M. Jones (one of seven children) in Lockland, Ohio. He entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 24, 2011.
Alvin married Mae Jean Jones in 1962. They remained married for nearly 50 years and lived happily in Lincoln Heights, Ohio.
During his life span, Alvin wore many hats. He was edu-cated in the Cincinnati Public School System and gradu-ated from Lockland Wayne High School in 1950. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1954. Alvin was a U.S. Postal employee for many years. He utilized his culinary arts skills as a chef for General Electric and ARA Food Services.
Most important?he was a loving and dedicated husband whose memory will be everlastingly cherished. He was considerate of others and always willing to give advice when needed.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving and devoted wife, Mae Jean; one brother, Lawrence (spouse, Daisy) Jones of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Janet L. Jones of Atlanta, Georgia and Marie Smith of Cincinnati, Ohio; three brothers-in-law, Floyd (spouse, Lily Mae) Williams of Hamilton, Georgia, J.B. Williams and John W. Williams of Cincinnati, Ohio; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
