Algie Marie Weeden (Roberson), 95 years young, was lovingly remembered by family and friends as a woman of faith, warmth, and service. She peacefully passed from this life on January 19, 2026, at approximately 6:21 a.m. Algie lived a long and meaningful life rooted in her love for God, dedication to her family, and compassion for others.
Algie Marie Weeden was born on July 15, 1930, in Tuscumbia, Alabama, to Theodore and Clara Roberson (Coffee). She was the baby of six children. Born during the Great Depression, Algie witnessed and lived through tremendous historical and cultural change, meeting each season of life with strength and grace.
Algie was united in holy matrimony to Edmond Weeden Sr. From this union were born two beloved sons, Ernest Lee Weeden (Flossie) and Edmond Weeden Jr. both of whom preceded her in death.
Algie was a devoted and faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she worshiped under the leadership of Reverend J. R. Chisley.
She dedicated over 20 years of faithful service to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, where she was admired for her strong work ethic and compassionate heart. Known throughout the city for her bubbly personality and her knack for making people feel loved and welcome, Algie left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
She preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Clara Roberson (Coffee); her three brothers, Jewel Lee (Loreen), Willie Theo (Lucille), and Darrius (Jessie); and her two sisters, Gertha (Roberson) Youngblood (Clarence) and Eula (Roberson) Hampton; and grandsons, William Combs and Kevin Stevens.
Algie was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, a devoted aunt, and a friend to many. Her life spanned generations, and her legacy of love, warmth, faith, and service will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
