Alfred C. Wilson was born February 10, 1955, to Wilburn Gene Wilson and Mattie Mae Wilson in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from Western Hills High School in 1973. After graduating he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served for four years. Upon his honorable discharge, Alfred began his career by working for the City of Cincinnati where he retired after 30 years of dedicated service.
Growing up in the community of Sayler Park, Alfred was a significant and well-respected friend to all he came in contact with. To know him was to love him and there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for family and friends. His infectious laugh and jolly disposition were nothing short of contagious. He was a pillar of the community. Alfred gave his life to Christ at which time he played a pivotal role within the church.
Through his life he made everlasting impacts wherever he went or was involved, whether it be coaching football, playing softball, camping trips, cutting grass, or traveling cross country with his dear friend, and to be honest, being the life of the party. He was a hard worker and a great provider.
Alfred and Darletha, the love of his life, were married for 30 years and through this union they were blessed with Candy Rozier (Eric), Keyona Wilson, and Keshia Wilson; seven grandchildren: Kenneth Stallworth III (Tre), Raegin Rozier, Khalia Stallworth, Zevin Wilson, Kenzie Stallworth, Peightin Rozier, and Siya Smith. He also leaves behind three sisters, Ada Jackson, Darleen Wilson, and Kathy Wilson-Millsaps; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Alfred was preceded in death by his grandparents, Curtis and Ada Mae Ford; mother, Mattie Mae Wilson (Mother Dear); granddaughter, Rhien Rozier; nephew Jason Todd; great-niece, Taralynn Bowers; along with many other dear loved ones.
