Donald E. Hill, 81, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024. He was the 7th out of 10 children born March 1, 1943 in Cincinnati Ohio to the late Andrew and Kathryn Hill.
Don was a proud Navy Veteran. He joined at the age of 17 and served as a cook on the USS Enterprise from 1960-1964 during the Cuban Missile Crisis and received an Honorable Discharge.
After serving he worked in many different fields before retiring from painting which he mastered. He was an animal lover, particularly horses. Don also really enjoyed taking care of his yard and received many beautification awards from Forest Park.
He is survived by his daughters Kathryn (Doug) Stockdale, Dawn (Quinn, Jack) Bertsche, son Scott Smith, granddaughter Nikki (Jason) Ruthen, great grandchildren, Lilly, Jaxin, and Melody, along with his four remaining sisters, Frances Markarian, Lois Staggs, Evelyn Dyer, Peggy Damron and numerous nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to attend the burial ceremony at Maple Grove Cemetery in Cleves on Thursday, August 1st at 10AM
